- How you can help with our club activities -

If you have skills and you wish to use them to good effect, we have a range of volunteer duties to select from.

Office Volunteers

We need volunteers to assist in the office to keep the premises open on weekdays. If you are able to travel to Moorabbin and would like to assist your club in a responsible way, you could volunteer to look after the office for a few hours per week or fortnight in a casual or regular basis, The tasks are simple and training and free access to club facilities is provided. Please contact the Secretary: secretary@melbpc.org.au to register your interest.

Editorial Staff for PC Update Magazine
We urgently require some assistance with the production of PC Update.  We need one or two volunteers who have experience with the full desktop version of Microsoft Word, and are comfortable with merging items from various sources.  Please contact the editor of PC Update, Hugh MacDonald, for further details at editorpc@melbpc.org.au

Be Connected

Currently meeting every 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month between 10 am and 3 pm at our Moorabbin premises we have club members volunteering to help members of the public gain confidence and learn about their smartphones, tablets or computers. The volunteers act as tutors or mentors to the people that come to the premises for help. The skills required are similar to those listed above for iHelp volunteers because the objective is similar although the tasks are face-to-face rather than on the telephone.

Audio-Visual System

The Borrett Room at the Moorabbin premises is fitted with extensive and sophisticated audio-visual equipment that is ideal for hybrid Zoom meetings. With in-house seating for up to 100 people, Zoom licence for a further 100+ people, multiple microphones and cameras, we need volunteers who would like to learn and practice using this equipment effectively. Full training can be given for any aspiring audio-visual technicians. Contact Stewart Gruneklee: stewartg(at)melbpc.org.au to register your interest.
